Textile manufacturing process

Different types of the textile manufacturing process as below-

A. In weaving: Weaving is a textile production method that involves interlacing a set of longer threads called the warp with a set of crossing threads called the weft. This is done on a machine known as a frame or loom, which contains a variety of types. Some weaving is still done by hand, but the vast majority are mechanized.

B. In knitting: Knitting, looping, and crocheting is a textile production method that involves interlacing loops of yarn, which are formed either on a knitting needle, needle, or on a crochet hook, together in a line. The processes are different in that the knitting has several active loops at one time, the knitting needle waits for it to interlock with another loop, whereas the looping and crocheting needle never has more than one active loop. Knitting can be performed by a machine, but crochet can only be performed by hand.

C. Spread Tow: This is a textile manufacturing process where the yarn is spread in thin tapes and then the tapes are woven as warp and weft. This method is mostly used for composite materials; Spread tow cloth can be made in carbon, aramid, etc.

D. Braiding: Braiding is a textile manufacturing process that involves cutting pieces of cloth into pieces. Threading involves tying knots together and is used to make tatting and macrame.

E. Lace: This is a textile manufacturing process that connects the threads independently using a backing and any of the methods described above, to create a fine fabric with open holes in the work. Lace can be made by hand or by machine.

Carpet, Rug, velvet, velour, and velveteen are woven fabrics that form the secondary yarn to form a bushy layer known as a nap or pile.

Filtering involves pressing a mat of fibers together and working together until tangled. A liquid, such as soapy water, is usually used to lubricate the fibers and strands of wool.

F. Nonwoven: Nonwoven is a textile manufacturing process that is produced by bonding fibers to make fabric. Bonding can be thermal or mechanical, or adhesive can be used. The barkcloth is made by pruning until soft and flat.
