Draw frame
Draw-frame is a process by which fiber is done to equalize, parallel, blend and dust
remove. Production costs of the draw frame are less than 3% of the total yarn
cost. But it has a great influence on yarn quality, especially on evenness. The
draw frame is a guaranteed compensation point for removing errors.
High-performance drawing frames currently produce 400 kg of sliver per hour in
each distribution.
Functions/objectives of draw frame-
1.
The main objective of the draw frame is equalizing.
2.
One of the main tasks of the draw frame is improving evenness over the short,
medium, and – especially – long term.
3.
To get optimal value for strength in the yarn characteristics, the fibers must
be arranged parallel in the fiber strand.
4.
Creating this parallel layout is basically the work of the draw frame.
5.
Draw frame fulfills this task by means of the draft since every drafting step
leads to the straightening of the fibers.
6.
For equalizing effect, doubling also provides a degree of compensation for raw
material variations by blending, which occurs simultaneously.
7.
Dust is steadily becoming a greater problem both in processing and for the
personnel involved. It is important to remove dust at the most practical stage
at each possible point in the overall process.
