Shade variation
The
difference between one shade to another shade or the difference between the
original shade and to supplied shade is called shade variation. To reduce the shade variation between any garment and from garment to garment as compared to the color quality of the approved buyer or manufacturer. It is the responsibility
of the garment manufacturer to ensure the continuity of color both within a
garment and garment to garment.
Ways to solve shade variation after washing the garment
If
you work in garment washing and work with woven items, they must face a problem
that after washing a lot of shade or tone change. For this problem, after
washing, the garments become different shades. If there is a requirement for
pigment dyeing, then such variation is a normal case. After understanding
tolerance, then work on these shades. Shade segregation is done by making
blankets before making garments, which will ok and which will not. Shades that
cannot be fixed are cut off and work is done on nearby shades.
Let's know how to solve it if there is a variation of the shade?
i.
First, the wash is done according to the recipe prescribed by the buyer, after
the wash is done, the shades have to be sorted by grade. The goods have to be
washed according to the shade.
ii.
Shades that are closed with the buyer's approval will have to be sent to the
finishing, and those that are not close to the approval will have to be sent
for pre-approval. Off-shades need to be touched up or reworked, and some shades
need to be tinted, with experts responsible for shade correction.
iii.
If the part is running shade, it is touched up. For off-shade or light, should
be tinted and washed according to the shade. Must be a touch-up spray type.
iv.
It should be packed according to the shade so that different shades cannot mix
in one pack. The buyer's confirmation is taken so that different grades are
packed for different shades.
v.
Shades that do not match the approved shade should be re-dyed and matched. In the next batches, color dosing should be done very slowly so that even if it
reaches all the garments, in the same way, then the shade variation will be
less.
vi.
You need to select a good quality color and the color combination will be the
primary combination. Color dosing should be done 2/3 times in the machine, and 10/15
minutes after the first dosing should be done again dosing. Salt and soda
dosing, in the same way, will reduce shade variation.
vii.
The shade should be sorted and packed according to the first approval and
washed in the same way as the first batch. Shades that do not match will need
to be re-approved by the buyer.
viii.
Such problems need to be approved by the buyer if the fabric supplier is buyer
nominated. In that case, they should be approved shade by the buyer. Not only
do they need to take risks themselves, but since the fabric supplier is buyer
authorized so his risks will be on them. Being a nominated supplier will make
it easier for them to get approved.
