How to wash vintage denim?
There
are many things to consider when you are working with vintage denim. If you
don’t want your denim to fade or shrink completely, make sure you don’t just
throw it away with the rest of your laundry. To get the most out of your wash
without putting undue pressure on your denim, wash a few pairs in the softest
cycle and cool water.
It's
also, a good idea to use a milder soap than your regular detergent if you don't
really want them to fade. Plenty of raw denim companies recommend putting your
jeans inside - although it may not be necessary if your denim is not raw,
flipping inside to help stop any discoloration will do no harm.
