By which the servant gets a chance/opportunity to do good deeds in Islam

The opportunity to do good deeds is only in the hand of Allah. A true believer is always in an opportunity to do well. He hopes, through this, to get the highest position in heaven. Many times a servant wants to do good work but cannot do good work for some unknown reason. And when Allah loves a servant, He gives him Tawfiq of good deeds by His grace. Anas (RA) said Messenger (S.A.W.) said, 'If Allah wishes to do good to a servant, He gives him the opportunity to do good deeds.' The question was asked, O Messenger of Allah (PBUH), how did he allow him to work? He said He gave that servant the opportunity to do good deeds before death. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2142).

Opportunity to do good deeds in Islam

Below we will discuss some of the actions that lead to good deeds-

Continued prayer

A servant who constantly prays to Allah for good deeds, Allah Ta'ala grants him Tawfiq to do good deeds. For this, pray to Allah more and more, and ask for guidance. Allah Ta'ala has taught us that in Surah Fateha. We ask Allah for guidance in every rak'ah in every prayer. We constantly say, 'O Allah, guide us to the easy path.'

Elsewhere it has been stated, 'Allah chooses whom He wills and guides whomsoever He wills. (Sura: Ash-Shura, verse: 13)

There is a hadith, narrated by Abu Zar (R.A.), the Prophet (S.A.W.) said, 'Allah Ta'ala said, 'O My servants, you were all misguided, except the one whom I guided. Ask me for guidance and I will guide you. (Muslim, Hadith: 6466)

Purify the heart

Allah Ta'ala gives Tawfiq to the pure heart to do good deeds. Because when the heart is pure, everything is right. In the hadith, Numan Ibn Bashir (RA) said, I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, 'Know that there is a piece of flesh in the body when it is cured, the whole body is cured. And when it goes bad, the whole body goes bad. Know, that piece of meat is kalab (heart). (Bukhari, Hadith: 52)

Living from sin

A servant is deprived of many benefits due to sin. Because in the hadith, when a servant indulges in sin, his heart becomes mud. He cannot do any good work with his heart. For this, the person who restrains himself from wrongdoing, Allah Ta'ala will grant him Tawfiq to do good deeds. On the authority of Abu Huraira (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, when a servant commits a sin, a black mark falls on his heart. Then when he abstains from sinful acts, asks for forgiveness, and repents, his heart becomes pure and spotless. If he sins again, the stain in his heart increases, and his whole heart is thus covered with a black stain. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3334)

Treating parents well

Misbehaving with parents has many negative consequences. One of them is that whoever disobeys his parents, Allah will not allow him to do good deeds. And whoever treats his parents well, Allah will guide him to the path of goodness. On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Amr (RA), Messenger (SAW) said, Allah's pleasure lies in the father's pleasure, and Allah's displeasure lies in the father's displeasure. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 1899)

Accept the company of good people

The companionship of God's beloved servants has many effects. For those who will accept their companionship, Allah Ta'ala gives them Tawfiq to do good deeds. This is why the Prophet (PBUH) ordered the companionship of good people, on the authority of Abu Saeed (PBUH), the Prophet (PBUH) said, you shall not be the companion of anyone except a believer, and let the pious people eat your food. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 4832)

Consider good deeds as good luck

Many times Allah Ta'ala opens the door of various blessings in front of the servant. In this case, if the servant considers it a good fortune for himself, then Allah Ta'ala gives him more Tawfiq to do good deeds. And if he feels a burden for himself, then he narrows the way forward for himself. Allah says, 'If you show true gratitude, I will give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then know that my punishment is severe. (Sura: Ibrahim, verse 7)

Conclusion

Besides, a righteous wife, keeping herself connected with the Qur'an, enjoining good deeds and forbidding evil deeds, coming forward in the danger of people, having complete trust in Allah, and having pure intentions—these are the means of attaining good fortune of good deeds. May Allah Ta'ala give us Tawfiq to do more good deeds?
