The dignity of parents in Islam

Parents are an invaluable resource in this world. Absolute respect and honor. The importance of parents to their children is unique. The best thing to do after worshiping Allah is to serve one's parents. The dignity of parents has been described in detail in the Qur'an and Hadith. The great Lord declares, ‘Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him and that you be good to your parents.

If one or both of them grow old in your lifetime, do not utter the word 'uh', do not threaten them, and speak politely to them. With love for them, humbly bow down and say, O Lord! Have mercy on them both, as they raised me in my childhood. 'Surah Bani Isra'il verses 23-24.

In this verse, Allah has instructed his worship. He also gave instructions to take good care of the parents. The dignity of parents has gained a lot of importance in this. After the worship of Allah, the most important thing in human life is to serve one's parents. Therefore, it is the duty of every child to obey their legitimate orders and prohibitions, to take all necessary measures to help them, and to refrain from harassing them.

In the above verse, Allah has taught us the best and shortest sentence to pray for our parents. We can regularly pray to God for those parents, whether they are alive or dead. There are many more prayers in the Qur'an and Hadith.

It is better to pray in the Qur'an-Hadith. If that is not possible, then the desire of one's heart can be presented to Allah in any way. If any one of them leaves this world, it is the demand of humanity to pray for him with sincerity and to seek peace through good deeds and charity. Because then they are very helpless.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘When a person dies, the path of all his good deeds is closed. However, three systems are in place. Sadaqaye Zaria or knowledge from which one can benefit or an honest child who will pray for him (parents). 'Muslim. It is a matter of good fortune to keep the parents satisfied. The one whose parents are alive is very lucky. There is no one in this world who is the best wisher than a parent for a child. Parents make every effort for the welfare of their child. Endures endless misery in every step of life.

Gabriel (peace be upon him) once said in Ramadan, ‘May the person who has found both parents or one of them alive in old age and through whom he has not opened the way to heaven be destroyed. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Amen.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘The prayers of three persons must be accepted by Allah. Blessings of parents, Blessings of the traveler, and the prayer of the oppressed person. 'Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi. One of the great people of the time of Rasulullah (peace be upon him) was Wais Al Karni (Rah.).

He could not get close to the Prophet (peace be upon him) as he was engaged in the service of his mother. Rasulullah (peace be upon him) recognized him as the best Tabi'i. He instructed Sahabi Omar (rah.) to receive good prayers from that Wais al-Karni (rah.). It touches our hearts. Here is the advice to educate everyone.

Of course, it is undesirable for those of us who cannot afford to spend time with our parents because of our busy schedules. Even after that, it is very important to keep them informed as much as possible in any way and to try all kinds of cooperation for their various needs, demands of faith, moral responsibility, provisions of Allah, and His Messenger which is an unforgivable crime to violate.
