How to get to Paradise in Islam?

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) described many acts to get to Paradise for his ummah. According to Islam, it is certain that the servant will go to paradise by being free from guilt and sin. To get to paradise, it is necessary to go to the grave with faith and deeds. There are some special periods/activities to get to Paradise in Hadith Sharif. The following are some of the periods/activities:

i. Custody of the face and genitals

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever takes care of the middle of both the lips (tongue) and the middle of the two thighs (the place of shame), I accept the responsibility of Paradise for him. (Bukhari, Hadith: 6474)

ii. The service of parents

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, let that person be destroyed, let that person be destroyed, let that person be destroyed. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! Who is that person? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever finds both his parents in old age or one of them in old age but does not attain Paradise, let him be destroyed. (Muslim, Hadith: 2551)

iii. Be careful in performing the prayers on time

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the person who is careful in performing the prayers on time has a promise from Allah to enter Paradise. (Abu Dawood, Hadith: 1420)

iv. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said

He who performs the Fajr and Asr prayers seriously will enter Paradise. (Bukhari Sharif: 574)

v. Recitation of Ayatul Kursi after every obligatory prayer

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Ayatul Qursi after every obligatory prayer, there is no obstacle for him to enter Paradise except death. (As-Sunanul Kubra Lin Nasai, Hadith: 9848)

vi. Caring for orphans

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I and the guardian of orphans will live together in Paradise, in such a way that he has shown the middle and index fingers together and separately. (Bukhari, Hadith: 5304)

vii. Capturing Asmaul Husna

Narrated by Abu Huraira, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah has 99 names. Whoever overcomes it, Allah will grant him Paradise. (Bukhari, Hadith: 2736)

viii. Remaining steadfast in faith

Narrated Abu Jarr (may Allah be pleased with him): He said: One day I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he was asleep while wearing white clothes. After a while I went again, then he woke up, then I sat in his court. Then he said, "Whoever says La ilaha illallah and dies on it, he will enter Paradise." I asked if he commits adultery and steals. He said though he commits adultery and steals. I asked again if he commits adultery and steals. He said that although he committed adultery and steals, he said so three times. Then he said for the fourth time, "Let Abu Jarr's nose turn gray with dust." The narrator said, "Then Abu Jarr (R) went out saying that." (Muslim, Hadith: 154)

ix. Inquiring about the sick person

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) narrated in Sawbaan (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a Muslim goes to see another Muslim, he stays in the ‘Khirka’ of Paradise until he returns. The Companions asked, "What is Khirka?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, the orchard of Paradise. (Muslim, Hadith: 2568)
