What is the way to success and prosperity?
Stinginess
is human nature. In order to achieve the forgiveness and mercy that Allah has
declared for the expenditure of wealth, one must refrain from a stingy
nature. We have to spend our earned wealth for our own needs, for the needs of
others, and for the worship and satisfaction of Allah. Whatever the stinginess,
whatever the level, it is reprehensible. Because stinginess is an obstacle to
success and prosperity in human life. So what to do for success and prosperity?
In
the Qur'an al-Karim, the great lord simply calls for the expenditure of wealth
as follows-
'O
you who believe! Spend out of what we have provided for you; before the day
comes when no trade, friendship, or recommendation will be accepted. And the
disbelievers are the wrongdoers. '(Surat al-Baqara: verse 254)
Stinginess is the barrier to success and prosperity
Satan
promised Allah that he would mislead the children of Adam step by step. As an
implementation of this, he tries to deceive people in different ways at
different times. There is no end to Satan's conspiracy to carry out his
mission. He always tries to portray the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as
beautiful. Miserliness is such a conspiracy. Allah Almighty has warned the
people and raised the issue in this way-
‘Satan
threatens you with poverty and commands you to be stingy. But Allah promises
you forgiveness and mercy from Him. Allah is Abundant, All-Knowing. '(Surat
al-Baqara: 268)
Instruction on resource expenditure
The
guidance of the great Lord is very simple. He promised the people, ‘If he
spends his wealth, he will please increase his wealth. But Satan gives people
different persuasions. The exiled Satan deceives people by saying that if they
spend their wealth, they will become poor; so seize your wealth, and be stingy!
Remember This-
Miserliness
is a tool of the devil to divert people from the straight path. We have to
survive this deception of the devil. According to the provisions of the Qur'an,
one has to spend in the way of Allah. Only then will the believer be
successful. Will be rich in wealth. Instruction on how to spend a believer's
wealth is given in the Qur'an as follows:
‘You
spend only for the pleasure of Allah. And whatever wealth you spend, you will
be repaid in full, and you will not be wronged. '(Surat al-Baqara: 272)
The
believer spends his wealth on various needs. Sometimes resources are spent on
personal needs or to meet the needs of family members. Sometimes it also spends
resources to meet social needs. Wealth is also to be spent on religious
worship. They spend their wealth in various religious sectors including Zakat,
Fetra, Hajj, and Qurbani. If all these resources are spent purely, it can
undoubtedly bring good for him. Can bring prosperity and success. In the Qur'an,
Allah the Almighty says about the reward of spending wealth for good deeds:
‘You
spend (wealth) only for the pleasure of Allah. And whatever wealth you spend,
you will be repaid in full, and you will not be wronged. '(Surat al-Baqara:
272)

In
addition to directing the expenditure of resources, caution has also been given
about stinginess. It has been revealed in the Qur'an:
‘And
man is stingy because of greed.’ (Surah Nisa: verse 128)
People
are stingy in spending their wealth in the way of Allah. But all wealth is the
grace and gift of the great Lord. No believer can deny that. In the verses of
the Holy Qur'an, Allah the Almighty has indicated this as follows:
"Spend
from the sustenance I have given you."
Not
only that,
What
amount of resources to spend? That instruction also came in the declaration of
the Qur'an-
‘Do
not put your hand around your neck and do not extend it completely, then you
will be cursed and destitute.’ (Surah Bani Isra'il: verse 29)
‘When
they spend, they are neither extravagant nor stingy, but they are in a moderate
way between the two.’ (Surat al-Furqan: 67)
Therefore,
a believing Muslim should spend in the way of welfare for the sake of Allah
according to the guidelines of Islam for the sake of success and prosperity.
Again, it is important to be careful about refraining from wasting and wasting
in the name of expenditure.
It
is not possible to keep one's hands folded in the case of proper expenditure of
resources, nor can all the resources be donated. Neither can it be stingy in
the matter of necessary expenditure, nor can it be wasted by spending
unnecessarily. Just as Islam teaches us to behave in a balanced way in all
areas of life, so too in the matter of spending resources, we have to move
forward in the midst of it, leaving aside the waste and stinginess of Islam.
