The last one who will enter paradise
On
the authority of Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'The last
person to enter Paradise will walk a little in Pulsira and fall down. Hell will
hurt him. Thus he will cross the entire Pulsirat. Then he will say, how great
that being, who has freed me from this danger is? What Allah has given me, He
has not given to anyone before or after.
Then
a tree will appear in front of him. He will say, O Allah, take me to this tree.
So that I can take refuge in its shade and drink water from here. Allah Ta'ala
will say, O son of Adam, will you ask for anything else from me after giving
you that? Then he will say, Nay, O Lord. It won't happen. He will make a
promise to Allah that he will not ask for anything from now on. Allah will
accept his disobedience. Because he sees the patience of this servant. Then
Allah will take him to the tree. He will stand in the shade of the tree and will
drink water.
After
a while, he will see a tree more beautiful than before. He will say, O Allah,
take me to this tree so that I can take shelter under its shade and drink
water from it. Then Allah Ta'ala will say, O son of Adam, did you not promise
me that you will not ask me for anything from now on? Then say, if you are
taken to this tree, will you want something else? He will say, no. Then he will
make a promise to Allah, and after that, he will not ask for anything. Allah Ta'ala
will see the patience of this servant and accept his disability.
After
a while near the gate of Paradise, you will see a tree more beautiful than the
previous two trees. He will say, O Allah, take me to this tree. So that I can
take refuge in its shade. I can drink water from here. Then Allah Ta'ala will
say, O son of Adam, did you not promise me that you will not ask me for
anything from now on? He will say, Yes, O Lord. That's the end. I don't want
anything else after that. Then he will make a promise to Allah, and after that, he
will not ask for anything. Allah Ta'ala will see the patience of this servant
and accept his disability.
When
he comes near to Paradise, he will hear the voices of the people of Paradise.
Then he will say, Lord, let me enter here. Then it will be said to him, you
enter Paradise. He will say, how can I live here? People occupy all places.
Then Allah Ta'ala will say, O son of Adam, what will you be satisfied with?
Would you be satisfied with the world and one more like it? He will say, O my
Lord, I am pleased. Then he will say, I gave you more than that, more than
that, more than that, more than that. The fifth time he will say, Lord, I am
satisfied. Allah Ta'ala will say, I have increased you 10 times more with
these. Fulfill all the desires of your eyes and heart.
Allah
Ta'ala will also say to him, you desire something. Allah Ta'ala will tell him,
ask for this, ask for that. When all his hopes and desires are exhausted, Allah
Ta'ala will allow him to enter His palace. He will say, are you mocking me or
laughing at me, when you are the great emperor? Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be
pleased with him) said, Then I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon
him) smiling. His gum teeth are also visible. He said, 'He will be the lowest
among the people of Paradise. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No: 186)
In
another narration, he will say, O my Lord, are you mocking me, while you are
the Lord of both worlds? Saying this, Ibn Mas'ud (RA) smiled. Then he said, you
did not ask me why I smiled? Everyone said, why did you laugh? Then he said,
Rasool (PBUH) laughed like this. Then everyone presents asked, O Messenger of
God, why did you laugh? He said, because of the laughter of the Lord of the two
worlds he said, do you mock me, while you are the Lord of the two worlds? Then
he said, I am not mocking you. Rather, I am able to do whatever I want. (Sahih
Bukhari, Hadith No: 6571; Sahih Muslim, Hadith No: 187)
